T-13 and the count-down really begins.
In 2016, I did the most outrageous race… for me. The Vermont 50. A 50 mile, just under 8,000ft of climbing, mountain bike ride. It was crazy, amazing and challenging. I never expected to do something that difficult when I started mountain biking few years ago.
So what is the next big epic thing?
July 22, 2018 is the date of my biggest, scariest, and most intimidating race to date. I will be competing in the Lake Placid IRONMAN Triathlon.
Yup. IRONMAN. 2.4 mile swim; 112 mile bike and 26.2 run.
A total of 140.6 miles.
In.
One.
Day.
I have been hanging out with my training partner Keith for several months now and we are ready! At least that’s what he tells me. Some days I believe him, others I’m a bit more skeptical.
For the last 7 years, I have been representing and racing with TEAM SPARK which includes not only racing, but raising $$ for Homes for Our Troops. If you would like to donate to this cause, click the link listed. https://www.pledgereg.com/2609/deblevesque
Thank you for your support.
You can follow my journey during the day of the race by downloading the IRONMAN Tracker App. Download the app to your phone and to track my times and find me on the interactive map. My race number is 1297.
The office will be closed from July 18 – July 29; and re-open for regular hours July 30. I will not be answering emails or voice mails during this time.
